Making a lasting impression on our State MPs.

Nan Ott, Jacqui Elson-Green and Nancy Bates had a great evening showcasing the Cistern Chapel at the Wide Bay Regional Promotion night at Queensland Parliament House Thursday 26/6/25.

The purpose of the event was to showcase the amazing Fraser Coast and the wonderful community groups and businesses that make this region fantastic.

It was the perfect platform to exhibit how Mary Inc has been influential in a number of areas, network and make contact with Ministers and of course show off our highly successful tourism project – the Cistern Chapel.

We had gold toilet keyring give-aways and Nan baked neat toilet-shaped biscuits that were snapped up with smiles.

We took the toilet pedestal we used for fundraising for the display and had a power point running showing the story of the Cistern Chapel to the sound of our Abba remake, singing What-A-Loo.

Thanks to Lisa Hunt for the power point that showed comments and photos of visitors from Siberia to Santiago. Many thanks to John Barounis and his staff for the wonderful help with transporting our items and setting up.
