Mary Inc in the Community
Mary Inc. spreads an umbrella over community skills, knowledge and passion, drawing together nimble teams as needed to turn visions into reality in Maryborough’s picturesque city heart. Through Mary Inc., projects large and small are driving the renaissance of our charming city.
Our dedicated team of volunteers work under 5 “Spheres” to complete projects and be an influential mouthpiece for the greater community on local council works, all in the name of bettering our beautiful city of Maryborough.
City Poppins
A team dedicated to preserving, revamping and creating our whimsical Poppins heritage through literacy programs and competitions, all things Mary Poppins, character costumes, festivals and more!
City Smart
Active collaborations with local groups to promote skills and increasing skill sets in the community. Programs designed to nurture the hospitality, theatrical, musical industries along with programs for increasing literacy and numeracy skills.
City Tourism
Encompassing all Maryborough tourist attractions including our rail stations, sculptures, guided tours, Military history assets, 50 Free things to do, engineering heritage, RV welcoming visits and so much more on the planning board!
City Scape
Committed to nurturing and growing the city landscape for all to enjoy. Focussing on the CBD with a view to encourage car-less living, support and enhance the creative arts, repurposing old buildings, attracting investors, supporting boutique retail opportunities and encourage weekend and evening shopping.
Cistern Chapel
A major tourist project undertaken by community members to not only add functionality to City Hall but to add beauty, quirkiness and whimsy to the heart of the CBD. With the project complete, the focus is on preserving this creative asset.
